Ruth returned to her university for her second year of medical school. This semester she will be studying courses like embryology, anatomy, and histology (the study of the microscopic structure of tissues).
Ruth is also serving as a volunteer with the ministry Amparo (Refuge) where she used to live. The ministry reaches out to the community to protect girls who are suffering violence, especially sexual violence. It also works to prevent violence from happening to more girls. The ministry does these things to show God’s love and help the girls as they work to become disciples of Jesus.
