Ways to help
Pray
The effective prayer of a righteous person has great power (James 5:16). Pray often for the young women of Ruth’s House as they navigate this new stage in their lives, that they would grow in the Lord, make wise decisions regarding their friendships and relationships, and that they would advance well in their studies and chosen professions. Please pray also for wisdom and discernment for the guardians who are accompanying the young women. If you are interested in praying more specifically, join our monthly prayer list.
Volunteer
There are two ways to volunteer. First, every year in July we host a banquet to update everyone who partners with us or follows the ministry and to raise funds for the coming year. We need help with every aspect of hosting a large event: planning, graphic design of printed materials, setting up tables and chairs, decorating the tables and walls, serving the meal, taking pictures and videos, cleaning up, cooking, and everything else in between.
Second, if you are interested in traveling to Santa Cruz, Bolivia, then you can visit us at Ruth’s House and the children’s home Talita Cumi where future participants of the ministry live.
Write a note of encouragement
Are you interested in encouraging the young women and guardians at Ruth’s House? Write a note to them (via email) letting them know that you are praying for them or write a message in celebration of their birthdays or a special holiday like Christmas or Easter. If you do not speak Spanish, we will translate the letter for you.
Host a small-scale fundraiser
Do you like to bake or are you looking to have a garage sale? Use those opportunities to share about Ruth’s House and donate your proceeds to the ministry. We can provide you with Ruth’s House materials to hand out as you share about the ministry.
